Connellsville and Scottdale, PA · Vestibular Therapy
Vestibular Therapy in Connellsville and Scottdale.
For the room that will not hold still. Both clinics evaluate and treat it, and the drive is worth thinking about first.
Where to get vestibular therapy locally.
Vestibular therapy is available at both King clinics, 171 W Crawford Avenue in Connellsville and 109 Crossroads Road in Scottdale. If dizziness has made driving a question, choose the shorter trip, and bring somebody along if you would rather not be behind the wheel.
Both clinics keep identical hours, so the decision is about the road rather than the schedule: early on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, later on Tuesday and Thursday. Ask on the phone and we will find a time of day that suits your symptoms.

What does vestibular therapy involve?
Balance runs on three inputs: the inner ear, your eyes, and what your feet and joints report from the ground. When one of them starts sending bad information, the other two argue with it, and the room appears to move.
Vestibular therapy works out which input is lying. Depending on the answer that can mean specific repositioning maneuvers, gaze stabilization drills, or graded balance work that teaches the system to trust the reliable inputs again. Some of it resolves quickly. Some of it takes patient weeks of homework.
Dizziness gets waved off a lot, including by the person who has it. Looking into whether physical therapy has anything to offer is not overreacting.
What vestibular therapy addresses.
Symptoms that make the ground feel negotiable, whatever the original cause turns out to be.
Dizziness and vertigo ⟶
The spin that arrives when you roll over in bed or tip your head back at the sink.
02Balance and gait disorders ⟶
A walking pattern gone careful, wide and slow without you ever deciding to change it.
03Stroke ⟶
Rebuilding balance and safe walking when the signal from one side has changed.
04Headaches ⟶
Head pain and unsteadiness that arrive together and are hard to tell apart.
The usual response to feeling unsteady is to do less: fewer stairs, no ladders, one hand on the wall. That shrinking is quiet and quick, and balance lost through avoidance is harder to win back than the original problem.
“Amazing staff and walked out with 0 pain! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs physical therapy.”Kylie H. · Patient review
Vestibular therapy questions.
Either one. Connellsville and Scottdale both handle vestibular evaluations. Since dizziness makes driving harder, most people choose by distance: (724) 628-7288 for 171 W Crawford Avenue, or (724) 887-4181 for 109 Crossroads Road.
Mostly testing. The evaluation runs about 90 minutes and involves position changes, eye movement and balance tasks designed to provoke and identify the problem rather than tiptoe around it. Some of it may make you briefly dizzy, which is the point, and your therapist will tell you before anything happens.
No, and assuming so is how people end up treating the wrong thing for months. The neck, the eyes, blood pressure and medications can all be involved. The evaluation exists to sort out which, and to tell you plainly when the answer belongs with your physician instead.
Start with an evaluation that tests, rather than guesses.

Six short questions. A real person calls you back, usually within two business hours, with times that fit your week.
The people who end up filling this out are rarely in the worst pain of their life. They’re just done working around it, done picking the errand that doesn’t require the stairs. If that’s the stage you’re at, this is the part where you stop researching and start.
Consider it filed.
