Manual Therapy in Connellsville and Scottdale.
Hands on joints and tissue, at both clinics, starting at the first visit. Where to go and what to expect.
Manual therapy in Connellsville and Scottdale.
Manual therapy is not a specialty room at one address. It is what happens at both King clinics, on Crawford Avenue in Connellsville and Crossroads Road in Scottdale, in most visits, beginning with the first one.
You get one therapist and you keep them. Same person, same hands, every visit, at whichever clinic you booked. That continuity is most of the reason hands-on work compounds over a plan instead of restarting every week.

What counts as manual therapy?
Joint mobilization, soft tissue work, muscle energy techniques, and the assorted hands-on methods a licensed physical therapist uses to change how a joint or a tissue moves. It is the oldest part of the profession and still the part patients notice first.
Here it is never the whole plan. Hands restore motion; the motion then has to be loaded and rehearsed or the body hands it straight back. So table work is followed by work you do standing up, and eventually by work you do at home without us.
If you want to know whether anybody will actually put hands on the sore part, rather than give you a printed sheet and a timer, that is a reasonable thing to check before you book.
What manual therapy is used for.
It goes where motion has been lost and something nearby has started covering for it.
Neck pain ⟶
A neck that has quietly surrendered its last twenty degrees of rotation.
02Back pain and sciatica ⟶
Segments in the low back that move too little while the ones next door move too much.
03TMJ and TMD ⟶
A jaw that clicks, catches, and turns a sandwich into a decision.
04Shoulder pain ⟶
A shoulder that has to hike toward your ear before it agrees to lift.
Motion you stop using does not stay available. A joint stiff for a year has trained the ones above and below it to take over, and unwinding that arrangement takes longer than treating the original stiffness would have.
“Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Therapists truly listen to problems and actively work to resolve them! Highly recommended!”Camille S. · Patient review
Manual therapy questions.
No. Pennsylvania allows direct access, so you can schedule an evaluation yourself and start hands-on treatment without a prescription. Call Connellsville at (724) 628-7288 or Scottdale at (724) 887-4181 to get on the schedule.
Yes. One licensed physical therapist carries your plan from the evaluation through to the day you are discharged. With hands-on treatment that matters more than it does elsewhere, because the person treating you can feel what has changed since Thursday.
At both. It is a core part of how care is delivered here rather than an add-on at one address. Book wherever the drive and the hours work: 171 W Crawford Avenue in Connellsville, or 109 Crossroads Road in Scottdale.
Book the visit where hands-on treatment starts on day one.

Six short questions. A real person calls you back, usually within two business hours, with times that fit your week.
The people who end up filling this out are rarely in the worst pain of their life. They’re just done working around it, done picking the errand that doesn’t require the stairs. If that’s the stage you’re at, this is the part where you stop researching and start.
Consider it filed.
